Navigating Postsecondary Pathways

An Inside Look at the Postsecondary Education Planning Process

Navigating Postsecondary Pathways: A Guide to Postsecondary Education for Students With Learning Differences takes the fear and mystery out of the postsecondary education planning process. Throughout the Guide, experts in higher education, disability service professionals, and parents and students who have been through the postsecondary education process provide an inside look into topics such as how to select the right program at the right time, how to obtain services and accommodations, and how to maximize financial aid.

This Guide is intended to help you and your student navigate through the high school years and the years following graduation. With preparation and effective transition planning, the postsecondary experience can be customized for your student, thereby increasing their potential for success. Given the right program, with the right support, in the right environment, your student can be successful in a postsecondary program, meet new people, expand their experiences and be better prepared for the opportunities adulthood has to offer.

What People Are Saying

“Wow, wow, and wow! This is such a comprehensive, well-organized guide, I cannot say enough good things about it… This guide will help so many people.  Every student/young adult is different, and each family focuses on diverse priorities, but you achieved a structure and an organization that allows the reader to go directly to what will be helpful to their particular situation. That a person can ‘individualize’ your guide is amazing!”
